Southern Health is one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the country, specialising in mental health, adult and child community health and learning disability services. We are also clinically-led, headed up by Dr Nick Broughton (Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist) since November 2017. We are on an ambitious journey to become an outstanding Trust with a fresh board driving our 6,000 staff to provide the best care to our 240,000 patients. With over 84% of our services rated as good or outstanding in our 2018 CQC report we’re looking for exemplary people to help us achieve our goals:
  • far greater inclusion of patients and carers in the delivery of services
  • closer integration of our mental and physical health services with primary, acute and social care
  • more involvement of clinical staff in the leadership and design of improved services.
We are proud to offer a truly diverse range of services from over 250 sites across Hampshire on the beautiful South Coast.   As well as our inpatients services and community contacts we run a wide range of specialist services including diabetes care, frailty services, MRI scanning, an eating disorder service, stalking clinics and an award winning perinatal service. We also have a range secure services including a specialist unit for young people aged 12  -18.  Our research team is dedicated to conducting research into many areas of mental and physical health and you will have the opportunity to be part of our studies.
